Morris was knocked out when making a tackle just on halftime. He was assisted off by Taree City’s training staff before he collapsed. Morris later complained of neck soreness.
“I got a text from his mother this morning and she said Daniel’s resting comfortably,’’ Taree City president Mal Dixon said today.
“He had scans last night and so far everything looks positive, although we’ll know more this afternoon.’’
The halftime hooter sounded just after Morris was initially assisted from the field. However, play was suspended for more than half an hour until an ambulance arrived. The decision was then made to call the Westpac Rescue Helicopter.
Taree City coach Gary Bridge confirmed it is the second time Morris has been knocked out this season
