- PORT MACQUARIE: Superintendent Paul Fehon was recognised with an Australian Police Medal in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List. Superintendent Fehon’s career includes a criminal investigation background, along with senior management positions in internal investigative units. Click on his photo below to read the full story
- TAREE: Two Order of Australia (OAM) medals and one companion (AC) were awarded to three Manning Valley residents. The former popularly elected mayor of Greater Taree City Council Paul Hogan received an OAM. So too did William Clynch for his service to cycling. - WAUCHOPE: A local soldier has been awarded a Conspicuous Service Cross in the Queen’s Birthday honours list. Warrant Officer Class Two Michael James Carroll won the award for meritorious achievement as the Company Sergeant Major of the Ready Combat Team, and Operations Warrant Officer of the Ready Battalion Group, 1st Battalion, the Royal Australian Regiment.
