A MAN has been charged after allegedly taking "pot-shots” at rabbits with a shotgun while drunk. Police initially attended a residence at Elands for an unrelated matter when they heard shots coming from a nearby property on June 15. Police attended the property and found a man, 34, firing his shotgun. The man told police he was trying to shoot rabbits for his dogs. The 12-gauge shotgun, which had an illegal handmade grip, was seized and he was charged with unlicensed firearm offences.
