Paul Hogan OAM: The former popularly elected mayor of Greater Taree said he feels honoured and thankful to the people who have been involved with him on his path. “You can’t do it alone. The Manning Valley would not exist without its volunteers.” Read more here
William Clinch OAM: Cycling has taken him around the world while he’s officiated at Olympic and Commonwealth Games and world championships in all disciplines of cycling. Now 60 and a citizen of the world, Bill was honoured for his efforts when he was awarded an OAM for services to cycling. Read more here
Companion (AC)
Professor Michael Fellows AC: An internationally renowned professor with ties to Old Bar has been recognised on the 2016 Queen’s Birthday honours list.
Professor Michael Ralph Fellows, who resides at Old Bar when not teaching at the University of Bergen in Norway, was appointed as a Companion of the Order of Australia (AC) for eminent service to higher education, particularly in the field of theoretical computer science. Read more here
