Division leader Darryl Moscatt held out a never-say-die Larissa Collins for a four game win to stay on top while second placed Steve Malouf downed drop shot expert Leigh Halloran 3-1.
Three players, Ian Smith, Mitch Brown and Dillon Wyatt share third place. Matt Donoghue continued his run at the top of second division when he defeated Sue Johnson in four while Trevor Brown who holds second place downed Gloria Smith 3-1. Meanwhile Gary Smith, who missed several earlier matches because he was out of the district has quietly slipped into third place and must be a definite threat to the front runners. With just one round to go it's all there for the winning. Justin Mather completed Monday night's rounds in first division with a three straight win over Gavin Pennell giving him a tally of 11 wins from 12 outings.
Pennell would be the first to admit he was not up to his usual standard but that can not detract from Mather's record. Steve Malouf held second place in spite of a 3-2 loss to Rod Simpson who has moved unheralded into fourth place but will surely be a big chance in the finals. Matt Donoghue maintained his lead in second division with a strong 3-1 win over his nemesis Gary Smith who no doubt will be looking for a better result when next they meet possibly in the imminent deciders.
Donoghue completed the rounds with a tally of 10 from 12. Ian Kemp, who led the division earlier, finished in second place after a three straight win over Josh Provost followed by a 3-1 win over fourth placed Lloyd Widdowson.
Justin Mather has led Monday night's first division since round one and the previous week's four game win over Leigh Halloran maintained his place at the top in what was another consistent performance..
