Peter and Cameron will be speaking on their radio series Manning Wild with the evening raising funds for Manning Valley Push for Palliative.
“It will be a very casual evening with the emphasis on Q and A,” said Peter.
Guest will have the opportunity to ask inside questions of Peter and Cameron covering all manner of topics.
The Manning Wild series explores the diverse flora and fauna of our local area.
“It’s about discovering what is under our feet,” said Bobin based Peter.
“What I love about the Manning area is the incredible diversity.
“My own property for example has open woodland, rainforest and a rock ridge which has seven species of orchids growing.”
Peter’s work features in books such as ‘Prehistoric Animals of Australia,’ ‘A Gap in Nature,’ ‘Astonishing Animals,’ ‘Possums of the World,’ and ‘Feathered Dinosaurs’.
His many commissions include Australia Post, Telstra (Australia), QANTAS Airways Ltd, Papua New Guinea Post, Naturalis Museum Leiden (Netherlands), Franklin Mint and National Geographic.
Two of his paintings will soon be featured in a CSIRO exhibition in July.
Cameron Marshall presents breakfast each weekday morning and manages ABC Radio Mid North Coast which takes in the ABC studios at Coffs Harbour and Port Macquarie.
An evening with Peter Schouten and Cameron Marshall will be held on Saturday June 11 from 6pm at Wingham Services Club, tickets cost $30 which includes a two course meal.
Peter will be donating one his paintings to be auctioned on the night.
