SIX Manning hockey players were part of the Hunter team which won the NSW Combined High Schools hockey championship in Wollongong.

They were part of the Hunter representative open girls side. Manning players included Tahni Walters, Bree Pensini, Lara Watts (Taree High), Pryia Bourke (Chatham) and Jaime Hemmingway and Morgan Coleman (Wingham).
Hunter dominated the championship, going through the preliminary rounds to the semi-final unbeaten before downing North Coast 3-1 in the final.
Lara and Bree, both 14, were the youngest members of the squad. They were also members of the NSW under 13s side last year that won the Australian championship.
All play in the Manning junior and senior competitions, Bree for Tigers, Lara and Tahni for Sharks, Priya for Chatham and Morgan and Jaime with Wingham.
