President of the Cundletown and Lower Manning Historical Society, Margaret Love said some fellow employees hadn't seen each other for 20 years.
"There was lots of catching up to do," she said.
"Some Peters Ice Cream Factory workers stayed all day."
Margaret said in checking the visitors book someone had visited from as far as Queensland.
She said there was great interest in the museum's dairy exhibit and the butter and ice cream making demonstration by Michael and Jo Barlin of Kingston Creek Creamery.
"The photos of the Peters Ice Cream Factory and the Lower Manning Factory drew a lot of interest too."
Margaret said overall it was a great "day to catch up" for workers, and a day of education for the community.
The society hopes to plan another similar event in the future.
