This will include high performance football, the premier league and all other competitions under the board's control. This will be a first for the board.
"I'll be there to facilitate conversation,'' FMNC general manager Mike Parsons said.
All nine board members will be available as will Mr Potter, who took over the position last month. Mr Parsons hopes some fresh ideas will emerge.
"We have our board meetings but they're usually taken up with procedural issues,'' he explained.
"We don't often get the opportunity to discuss the bigger picture about the direction our great game is heading in this area.''
Mr Parsons said possible expansion of the premier league will be on the agenda along with lifting the profile of the competition.
"We may even look at expanding the number of clubs in the league,'' he said.
"There will certainly be some discussion on this.''
Nine clubs from Forster-Tuncurry to Kempsey take part in the premier league. This is one down from recent years following Old Bar's withdrawal in January. The board asked for expressions of interest from other clubs to take Old Bar's place and negotiations did take place, however eventually the decision was made to run with nine.
The limit on clubs in the premier league has been 10 however Mr Parsons indicated this is open to discussion.
Mr Parsons said the think tank would be an exchange of ideas and no firm decisions will be made on Sunday. However, any recommendations will be acted on in the future.
"I would hope it will lead to a bit of innovation,'' he said.
"We can keep going down the same path as that can lead to stagnation,'' he pointed out.
Mr Parsons has no idea how long Sunday's meeting will last.
"As long as it needs to,'' he said.
"Women's Premier League games will be played at the Zone Field on Sunday and I hope we'll be finished in time to watch the first grade.''
Mr Parsons hopes the think tank will become an annual fixture on FMNC's calendar.
It will be conducted at the Manning Visitors Information Centre.
