This event is the river-side garden party next Sunday May 15 from 2pm to 5pm at Bohnock.
MVP4P fundraising convenor Shirley Perrin is looking forward to hosting their first event, with it being very much a team effort by her fundraising committee members.
The idea for the garden party filled with food and entertainment was suggested by committee member Salli McGowan.
Living on the Manning River fellow committee member Marie O'Neil put her hand up to host the event at her Bohnock home.
Marie says improving palliative care services is a cause she is passionate about.
"It's so important to have support available in our lives and end of lives," she said.
The party will be entertained by a seven-person acapella group "Wednesday," the Wingsong choir and band The Vagabonds.
Ticket sales will close Wednesday May 11 to get catering and other logistics right.
Fundraising will allow MVP4P to further buy and maintain emergency equipment for people being cared for at home, help fund emergency respite care for patients at home or their carers, and meet costs of advocating for better matched palliative services for the area.
