When Australia's only Lego Certified Professional, Ryan McNaught, was a boy, his parents ran a Melbourne travel agency, and he was often in transit with a box of Lego tucked under his arm. One day at the airport, McNaught met the cricketer Dean Jones. "I went up to him and I said, 'Oh, Dean, I'm a big fan,'" says McNaught. "And he told me to go away. He didn't actually say those words: he said far worse words." McNaught shakes his head. "And that was my idol as a kid."
