The markets will be held inside the hall which has been upgraded a number of times over the years.
Eleven years ago on January 14, 2005, the community of Lansdowne was in mourning for its beloved community hall which was razed by fire.
From the ashes, several years later, emerged a wonderful new brick veneer structure which opened in November 2011.
"There was no resting on our laurels for this team though!," said grant writer Jennie Cameron.
"Successful applications through the State Government's Community Building Partnership grant program funded improvements to the exterior of the hall with an outdoor barbecue and eating area constructed in 2014 and a new path accessing the side entrances/exits and concrete ramp linking the external toilet block, recently completed.
"These infrastructure upgrades ensure a safe physical environment for patrons and enhances efficiency of the organisations operations.
"It is a wonderful asset for the community in which social, cultural and recreational activities are conducted. Such is its reputation and appeal that it has been chosen as the venue of choice by hirers outside the immediate community."
Since its opening in 2011 the hall trustees have worked tirelessly to furnish and equip the hall, ensuring a quality facility with quality service delivery. Judging by the feedback from patrons they have achieved this goal with honours.
Leslie Williams, member for Port Macquarie representing the Lansdowne community, has been very supportive of the efforts of the trustees. She has attended market days, witnessed the fruits of their labour and been suitably impressed.
Now the trustees would like more members of the community to see the results of their hard work at the next markets.
"Come along to enjoy a relaxing day out in the country," Jennie said.
"Check out the bargains on offer including fabulous old style country cooking. Sit, relax and enjoy a cup of tea and cake or a barbecue sandwich in the beautiful Lansdowne Hall or alfresco style on the outdoor concreted area."
The trustees invite you to come along to the markets on Saturday, January 30, check out the wonderful facility, grab a bargain and indulge in the delicious fare on offer.
Lansdowne Hall markets are held in the months with a fifth Saturday. For bookings phone 6556 7150 or 6556 7163.
