Man allegedly three times over the limit at Taree

A MOTORCYCLIST has been charged with high-range drink driving near Taree, allegedly while his son was a passenger.

Police stopped a motorcycle on Manning River Dr in Taree after they allegedly saw it driving in a dangerous manner.

Officers said they stopped the motorcyclist and spoke to the man, police checks revealed he was a disqualified driver.

They allege the man’s 11-year-old son was riding as a passenger on the motorcycle.

The 37-year-old man was arrested after a breath test allegedly returned a positive result.

He was taken to Taree Police Station where a breath analysis allegedly returned a high-range reading of 0.183.

The man was subsequently charged with drive vehicle in a dangerous manner; high range PCA; and drive whilst disqualified.

He was given bail to appear before Taree Local Court on 23 October 2012.
