According to a spokesperson for Manning Great Lakes Local Area Command the home's occupants, a male and female, were assaulted by the three males. 

One of the occupants escaped and ran to a nearby house, and called the police.

Police attended the scene, but the three males had fled. 

A crime scene was initiated and investigations are ongoing. 

No items were stolen in the incident and the assaulted occupants had minor injuries.
