Director Judd Apatow made several different endings for the movie, which Schumer wrote, and this features the couple cradling a wee cutie while on a family walk.
It is a portrait of such sentimentality Schumer fans may be in shock. But do not fear. The baby (spoiler!) is not theirs. But, Schumer in a voiceover, she is pregnant. Except (spoiler!) she is not.
Trainwreck, which grossed $138.3 million ($A190 million) worldwide and helped catapult Schumer to global fame, is released on DVD on November 12.
Apatow says he usually has a few final scenes shot, aware that the movie could end at one of two or three places.
"The moment where [Schumer and Bill Hader] talk and kiss after the cheerleading sequence was so great that we knew we couldn't top it. But it is always wise to shoot something with a baby. Who hates a movie that ends with a baby? Just Darth Vader."
As the pair, with baby and Amy's onscreen sister and brother-in-law walk into the distance, Schumer's voiceover reassures her Trainwreck fans.
"Eww! All the sentimentality! Let's go get a drink."
The Trainwreck DVD deleted scenes, a gag reel, and commentary with Schumer, director Judd Apatow, and associate producer Kim Caramele.
