This is the compassionate thought behind the upcoming 'Nepal Earthquake Helping Hand Concert' on Saturday, November 21 at Club Forster from 7.30pm.
Organiser of the concert, Clem Collier had been busking the streets of Tuncurry, Forster, Taree and Comboyne to raise funds for Nepalese earthquake victims.
Clem was able to raise $1200, but due to this being an ongoing crisis, Clem decided he needed a bigger audience to gain more donations.
Clem enlisted the help of Donna and Kevin Ballard, who have been integral organisers to the Wingham Akoostik Festival, to help.
"They were more than happy to help and so the entertainment manager Eddie Youngblood at Club Forster was approached," Clem explained.
"As we thought this an excellent venue and with his assistance we got the show together... all the acts are donating their time and talent to help."
The acts include local Great Lakes multi- instrumental group Galleri, Manning rock band The Trapps, world travelled guitarist/singer/songwriter Matt Zarb along with Clem.
In between the half hour sets, the MC will be 2RE's Anthony Zanos.
"If we actually stop and think about how fortunate we here in Australia are and then try and imagine what it'd be like not to have a roof over our head, food, clean drinking water, sanitation, medical assistance and all the necessities of life that we have surely the urge to help comes to the fore," Clem said.
"The world is a melting pot, and currently a very troubled one, but we can do our little bit to help by supporting this concert."
Tickles are available at Club Forster or online at www.clubforster.com.au. Nett proceeds will go to Oxfam Australia to aid the victims of the recent devastating Nepal Earthquake.
