This weekend Club Taree auditorium will be a hive of activity with wall to wall craft exhibitors and craft demonstrations happening around every corner.
There will be craft supplies of every description for patrons to buy, and for that very special Christmas gift a large range of stunning handmade items will satisfy every wish.
Workshops for children will keep the kids happy and mums can take home a garden sculpture they have made themselves or on Sunday watch Kylie Reynolds demonstrate the fascinating craft of pyrography.
Maureen Christie will hold a free workshop at 1pm each day on how to embellish using vintage laces, beads and buttons, and how to make tattered flowers using scraps of lace, fabric and beads. Maureen is also an expert in ribbon and thread embroidery and her ongoing demonstrations are always popular.
The super raffle will be drawn at the end of the show and one lucky visitor will win a Janome sewing machine, SewEzi sewing table and Tutto trolley bag sponsored by Just Patchwork of Tuncurry.
A lucky door prize will be drawn at the end of each day, the prize being a beautiful craft hamper full of items donated by the exhibitors.
This year patrons will be asked to vote for their favourite exhibitor, to decide who receives the “best exhibitor 2015” award.
Admission to Craftathon is adults $5, under 16 years $2, under 12 years (with adult) free. Doors will open from 10am to 4 pm on Saturday, and 10am to 3 pm on Sunday. Enquiries to Gail on 0416 078 429 or download a program guide at www.tareecraftcentre.com.au
