"WONDERFUL", "caring", and "just brilliant" - these are the three words Chatham High School's year 12 of 2015 year advisor Kerrie Roberts described the year on their very last day of school.
Kerrie was holding back tears as she watched each of the students walk to the stage for their final roll call as students of Chatham High School.
The student who presented the year advisor with her gift from the year had to step down from the podium, when she to, ended up in tears after thanking Kerrie for always helping them "when they broke down in tears".
You could hear the mix emotions of the day inside the Chatham High School hall throughout the ceremony.
There was laughter when a slide show revealed each student's transformation from year seven to year 12 and claps and cheers of pride as students exited the hall past parents, family members and teachers.
"There's a lot that lies a head of them," said Sharon Collins, mother of Grace Powick who said she didn't even know how to explain how she was feeling.
Rachel Austin, said the feeling for her was incredibly overwhelming, and a little depressing.
Rachel said as excited as she is, she's very nervous for what's to come.
One group of friends had been together from kindergarten to year 12, with one of their mother's saying it felt weird to see them all grown up and graduating.
When asked how she liked being the year advisor for year 12 of 2015, Kerrie said "...it's been awesome - and that's there words, not mine!"
