"Being a dad I couldn't imagine what they are going through," said Jason.
"I can't believe it's been 12 months.
"These walks are about showing that no one has forgotten him."
Walk 4 William was an initiative that started via a social media group on Facebook.
Inside the group the idea was hatched to hold a community walk on September 12, the one year anniversary of the day toddler William Tyrrell went missing from his home in Kendall.
Shane originally organised the walk in Taree before he was asked to do the same in Forster- Tuncurry.
He then enlisted the help of Lauren Davies McDermott to handle the Taree event.
"Planning is going great. We have helium balloons, face painting, hair spray and hair chalk for use on the day," wrote Lauren on the Taree Walk 4 William Facebook event.
The Taree event will begin at the Taree Rowing Club and walk along the river to Martin Bridge and back.
Walkers will meet at 10am for a 10.30am start.
For those feeling more ambitious with their walk, and might even like to run, Taree parkrun will be dedicating its weekly event to Walk 4 William as well.
"We encourage everyone to wear blue and red or Spider-Man outfits,"Taree parkrun director Marg Lewis said.
Taree parkrun starts at 8am at Taree Rowing Club, and involves a 5km timed walk or run.
The Forster/Tuncurry event will require at 10am meet up at Tuncurry Rockpool. The walk will start at 10.30am and to go the Memorial Park and back.
In Harrington Teresa McGill, the organiser of the Harrington Walk 4 William, is asking attendees to gather at 10am, for a 10.30am start.
The meeting point will be at the car park near the skate park. They will walk along the north side of the Harrington break wall.
"People are welcome to walk as far or as little as they want," Teresa said.
Shane will be walking in Forster-Tuncurry but encourages attendees at all events to wear some red and blue, or even a Spider-Man suit and Spider-Man face paint.
Organisers at the Taree Walk 4 William thank Priceline Taree, Price Pirates, R & B Party Hire, PT Trade Supplies and the Mcdermott family for donations of hair spray, face paint, helium, temporary tattoos and masks.
