The club has five members with disabilities, at a time when the governing body, Equestrian Australia, is encouraging more to participate.
Funds were raised for the ramp through competitions held by the club.
These funds were then taken to the show committee members who spent 70 hours cutting and welding the stand.
"We're pioneering a fair bit," said president Valerie Brodin.
"It's just the right thing to do. It will attract more people to compete in our area."
The mounting stand is stage one of a two step process said show committee member Allan Richards.
The second stage would include a ramp, making the stand wheelchair accessible.
The stand will help when the Taree Showground hosts a para-equestrian judges seminar on September 12.
Attending the seminar will be international para-equestrian judge Sue Cunningham.
"It's good for the community," said Allan about the new stand.
"We're delighted to have it here," agreed Valerie.
Lean times for another iconic showground stalwart.
