Five days-a-week and on the first Saturday of each month Peter leaves his home in Hillville to "grow and care for plants that people take home to their gardens."
He says he loves the warmer days in winter and walks through the rows of outdoor plants, pointing to the popular sellers - the natives, the deciduous trees and then stops to reveal his favourite rose, the Blue Moon.
"Blue Moon is my favourite. It has a nice blue-ish colour, it's a beautiful rose," Peter said.
"Roses. We have lovely roses."
Peter and the team of Nature's Care Nursery staff are currently working hard to prepare the nursery for the annual Spring Spectacular from September 2 to 5 and the Valley Industries open day on September 4.
The annual Spring Spectacular is a major event on the Valley Industries calendar and Peter says "the nursery gets very busy."
The open day on Friday, September 4 is tipped to draw hundreds of people and Peter says he is looking forward to the day.
"I like the open day. I help customers, carry stuff out for them, give them advice and everything else," Peter explained.
"It's nice to see more people in here, it's like a busy Saturday."
Peter has been tending plants at Nature's Care Nursery since 2005.
The 28-year-old lives with his parents, Cheryl and Paul Wright and declares, "My life's great!"
He is one of 120 people with a disability who are employed by Valley Industries, according to human resources officer Renee Gilbert.
Renee says Valley Industries service users look forward to the open day "as they are able to show the work skills they have learned over the last 12 months."
Valley Industries chooses to open its Whitbread Street work areas to the public once a year to allow the community to see the range and scale of the businesses that employ people with a disability in the Manning Valley.
The open day on Friday, September 4 is between 10am and 1pm and will include a free barbecue and the Spring Spectacular will mark its final day on Saturday, September 5 with a free barbecue and jumping castle between 10am and 1pm.
