Now in its eighth year, Chris is expecting more than 100 sellers to be registered in Old Bar, Wallabi Point, Manning Point and surrounding areas, on September 5 to create a "utopia of garage sales".
The event draws second-hand shoppers from all over the State, with visitors from Sydney, Wollongong, Newcastle and Coffs Harbour commonplace.
Not only do the sales offer up a mass of unique trinkets, Chris also believes it gives the local economy a welcome boost, as well as providing out-of-towners a look at Old Bar before the Old Bar Beach Festival in October.
Chris agreed that the "concept of shopping at 100 garage sales" was uniquely Old Bar, and said that residents should be proud of their community effort.
He encouraged locals to "get on board" and register now.
The $25 registration fees goes towards advertising the event throughout the Mid North Coast, North Coast, Hunter Valley and Sydney.
Any excess funds go towards the Old Bar Beach Festival.
Registering is easy and quick.
To obtain a form, download one from the Old Bar Beach Festival website, or physical copies can be picked up at Old Bar Cellars.
Chris can also be contacted on 6553 3122.
As well as the garage sales, Chris also encouraged people to donate to the mega book sale on the day.
Visitors looking to join in on the sales action can also register for the car boot sale section.
"It's a real community effort," Chris said.
