The year was 1981, the headliners included Rodriguez, Midnight Oil, Split Enz, Billy Thorpe and Mi-Sex. Newcastle based Total Fire Band, who regularly performed at Taree around that time, were also on the bill.
The theme was Heart and Soul and Rock and Roll.
