Organisers aimed to beat their initial record of 155 participants, but were delighted to have 114 in attendance on the chilly Saturday morning.
Despite the temperature being around 12 C, two runners beat the top time records ever completed at a Taree parkrun.
Jake Myors, a member of Nowra Athletics Club, who was holidaying in Forster, completed the 5km track in 16 minutes and 57 seconds.
Coming in at second place, with another record breaking time was Liam Stewart who clocked in at 17 minutes and 2 seconds.
There was 41 runners who beat their personal best times and 21 tried the Taree track for the first time.
Among the first timers were member for Myall Lakes Stephen Bromhead and his wife Sue.
Stephen and Sue join the list of other local dignitaries who have tried out the event including mayor Paul Hogan and his wife Pattie, who both have walked the track or volunteered.
The volunteer team was dominated this week by the Club Taree community team.
More than 20 of the Club Taree staff either volunteered or ran, continuing their ongoing sponsorship of the event.
