Organised completely by the student representative council, students participated in six different activities with the aim of winning the spirit cup.
These activities included Texans and Mexicans, zorb balls, video games, minute to win it trivia, drama games, and war cries.
Assistant co-ordinator Kimberly Gurr said that the spirit day puts "leadership into the hands of the students" as well as building the relationships between students and staff.
School vice captain Nicholas Starr was also a strong advocate of the annual day.
"I think they love it, especially the young kids," he said.
"It helps everyone kind of, because they meet kids they otherwise wouldn't."
With students split into their house groups of Manning, Hooke, Murray and Peel, they faced off in the war cries to decide the winner of the spirit day.
Students were given 20 minutes to go and learn their cries before coming back to compete against one another, with performances including appropriated versions of the haka, Spongebob Squarepants theme song and "Down Under" by Men at Work.
With every house singing the gym down, Peel managed to take out the war cries.
However, overall winner of the day was Murray, who historically won the spirit cup for the first time after strong performances on the day and at the swimming and athletic carnivals earlier in the day.
