The side played five round games against Sydney East, Sydney South, Bathurst, Newcastle and Illawarra and were undefeated to finish first in their pool. Manning were defeated by Northern Sydney and Beaches in the semi-final 5-2. NSB were defeated by Lithgow 5-0 in the final.
It was an outstanding effort by the team to reach the semi-final. They were promoted to division one after claiming the division two title at State last year. This is the first time in many years that MVHA have contested division one and the girls did themselves and MVHA proud, both on and off the field. Players' player was voted on at the completion of each game. Final tally of votes after six games resulted in Bree Pensini winning this award.
Lara Watts and Bree Pensini have been selected in the under 13 State squad and will be attending trials this Sunday for final selection.
