Club president Angus Laurie said the day was "absolutely excellent", with visitors enjoying the chance to examine various aircraft up close.
Although unsure on the exact number of attendants, Angus did say they were "very happy with the number of people who turned up."
One of the key attractions at the open day was a Grumman Avenger, an eight tonne WWII sub bomber.
Other attractions included a static war bird show, special offer introductory flights and a variety of local and visiting aircraft on display, as well as a barbecue.
With current membership hovering around 80 people, Angus is confident that the open day could lead to new aviation enthusiasts joining the club.
