Running from 11am to 2pm at the Taree Airport, the club will provide a host of attractions, such as a static war bird show, special offer introductory flights and a variety of aircraft on display including a World War II era Grumman Avenger sub bomber.
With current membership hovering around 80 members, club president Angus Laurie encouraged "anyone and everyone" to come see the club and their resources.
Since its inception in 1960, the Manning River Aero Club has trained a huge number of flying enthusiasts, ranging from weekend casuals to future commercial pilots.
The club hasn't been able to train for the last two years since the departure of their last approved flying instructor, but with the arrival of Mike Nolan six months ago they can once again offer training.
Mike retired from his job at the Civil Aviation Safety Authority in Sydney and moved to Old Bar six months ago, immediately joining the club as chief flying instructor and approved testing officer.
With Mike at the club, they have the capability to train members up to the commercial pilots licence.
Members of the club enjoy some of the most competitive training and hire rates in Australia per aircraft type and model.
Their flagship is a 2004 model Cessna 172 that has taken members to places such as Birdsville and Lake Eyre, among other interesting spots.
The club encourages anyone with any interest in flying to visit and experience first hand their hospitality and passion.
