TAREE High will open its gates to the general public tomorrow Saturday, June 20, with the school hoping to encourage alumni, parents of current students, and potential future students to explore the school on their own terms.

Running from 10am to 2pm and without any speeches or performances, the school is hoping to entice interested members of the public to enjoy an informal look at what a modern high school looks like.
Students will be running a barbecue for peckish onlookers.
Senior mentor at Taree High, Glenda Hutchinson, said the open day was about ensuring strong community connections with the high school.
In what is the 90th year for the school after its 1925 founding, the open day also hopes to attract alumni ahead of the formation of an alumni website for which the school sought funding.
