Karen Davis, Jenn McLeod and Tricia Stringer have been visiting regional locations since May 24 on the Australia Voices in Print Tour.
The Taree session was their third last stop on the tour.
Held at the "warm and cosy" Taree Library at 5.30pm the event was a "really enjoyable evening," said community outreach librarian Debbie Horgan.
With cheese and fruit platters and a "dynamic, interactive audience," the authors fielded various questions about writing and character development.
The three had a wealth of knowledge to draw from, with all fulfilling different genres; Karen writes crime and fiction (Sinister Intent and Deadly Obsessions), Jenn writes rural and romance (House for all Seasons and Season of Shadow and Light, and Tricia writes historical saga and romance (Queen of the Road and Heart of the Country.)
There were three prizes on offer, with the author's all donating a book of their own.
The Australian Voices in Print tour concluded on June 5 at Lismore, after starting in Bathurst more than week earlier.
The tour offered regional Australians the opportunity to question and interact with some of Australia's popular authors.
