The Canberra cyclist won the women's individual pursuit at the track cycling world championships in Paris in February and she wore the rainbow jersey she earned then for the first time at International Track Series in Adelaide on Thursday night.

She stopped the clock in three minutes 35.216 seconds to again salute in the individual pursuit.

Wiasak is hoping to force her way into Australia's team pursuit for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.

"It was amazing to race out on the boards in the rainbows here at home, there are not many chances to do this so I am glad I made the most of it here tonight," she said.

Fellow Canberran Kimberley Wells won the opening stage of the Battle of the Border in Kingscliff on Friday.

It's the High5 DreamTeam rider's third stage victory in this year's National Road Series.

"I get to wear my first road tour leader's jersey, which is really cool for me. Opportunities don't come up a lot for sprinters to lead tours so you've got to go for it when you can," Wells said.
