Croker, the Manning River Times-Iguana Sportstar of the Week last week, will play in the front row. He was selected in the NSW side following strong performances for Newcastle in the Harold Matthews (under 16) competition this year. He will now return to Group Three where he will turn out with Taree Panthers in the under 16s and Taree City in the under 18s.
Old Bar product Boyd Cordner has been named on the bench for NSW in the State of Origin clash. This will be the third time the Sydney Roosters backrower has represented the Blues.
