JUST weeks out from the 2015 state election, state politicians vowed, if re-elected, they'd spend $20 million to rebuild Manning Hospital.
Myall Lakes MP Stephen Bromhead and Health Minister Jillian Skinner made their promise at the Taree hospital on February 27.
The promise featured strongly in Mr Bromhead's campaign:
"This funding is for Stage 1 - it's about getting the cranes onsite and getting work underway. If I am re-elected on March 28, I will fight to keep the cranes there and to get the extra funding we need to complete this redevelopment."
