It sets a timeless foundation that can be easily and cheaply revamped in ensuing years with a few colourful or neutral accessories.
In this bathroom, the owners chose Raymor products to set the scene. The freestanding bath with bath filler was elevated to take pride of place with a split-level floor. It adds a sense of theatre to create a pamper spa area.
Added interest has been injected highlighting the step with a strip of tile-wallpaper that is used on the feature wall. Adding a relaxing chair in timber enhances the spa effect.
The Salt range was chosen for the 900mm vanity, with the designer deliberately opting for a unit that touched the floor to enhance the colour palette and hero bath, Raymor’s Gordon Evans says. With integrated basin and three drawers and a cupboard, the “sleek and low key unit provides ample storage to ensure no unnecessary bathroom clutter”.
“It also has optional smart bin and LED lighting for cupboard and drawer interiors,” Gordon says.
A multifunctional dual shower column with 220mm square overhead rose and a hand-held unit on a hose was an indulgent addition, he adds.
“All the accessories in the bathroom are from the Ceduna collection – towel rails, robe hooks, toothbrush holder, soap dish and toilet tissue holder all mirror the soft curves of the key bathroom fixtures,” Gordon says.
The bright chrome finish adds a shiny touch with accessories chosen in orange for a pop of colour.
“Black and white is a dramatic colour scheme but it is also a classic - it never dates. And you can cleverly completely change the look just by introducing different colour in towels and accessories.”
