About 3.30pm Tuesday, April 28, 2015, police attended a nearby home on Barton Street where they arrested a 32-year-old man.
He was taken to Taree Police Station and charged with robbery and resist arrest.
The man was refused bail, to appear at Forster Local Court on Wednesday, April 29.
MONDAY: Police want your help after a man robbed a service station at Taree overnight.
Police were called to the business on Victoria Street about 9.55pm Sunday responding to a report a man had threatened the attendant while demanding cash.
The man was handed cash and drove from the scene in a red sedan parked nearby. No one was physically injured.
Police have issued a description of a man they believe can assist with this investigation.
He’s described as being 173cm tall with an athletic build. At the time he was wearing a pale jumper, grey cargo pants and white joggers.
It’s believed he was driving an older-model red Camry or Falcon.
