"Racing NSW has decided to allocate a number of the races dates during the period that would have been Port Macquarie meetings to the Taree Wingham club and as such will be conducted as Taree Wingham Race Club meetings,'' Taree Wingham Race Club CEO Brian Leggett explained.
The first will be Sunday May 17.
"Following discussions this week with Shane Meaney at Racing NSW, the race program for the day will be the same as was to be at Port Macquarie with some distance changes for the Taree track and to fit with race distances at other meetings programmed near to this date,'' Mr Leggett added.
Future dates are subject to final confirmation by Scott Kennedy at Racing NSW when he issues the racing calendar for the 2015/16 season. They are Sunday September 27, Friday October 9, Tuesday March 15 and Monday April 11.
"The Taree Wingham club will be looking to provide opportunities for regular patrons of the Port Macquarie meetings to attend the meetings at Taree on these dates,'' Mr Leggett said.
"These will also be bonus meetings for Taree Wingham Race Club members in addition to the 19 meets held at Bushland Drive each year.''
Krambach Race Club will conduct a meeting at Bushland Drive on Tuesday April 28.
