The Night Bazaar Committee Inc, are keeping the lights on for their first daytime event to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Martin Bridge on Sunday May 17. 

The day will start at 9.30am, where people will assemble on the Glenthorne side of the bridge, ready for the re-creation of the iconic first walk across the bridge 75 years ago. This walk will commence at 10am. Following this, River Street and Fotheringham Park in Taree will be filled with market and food stalls, historical displays, entertainment, children's activities and more, up until 3pm.

To celebrate this exciting event the Manning River Times, the Night Bazaar Committee Inc and Taree Camera House have collaborated in an exciting first for the Times - an Instagram competition. 

There will be three categories run over three weeks, with a $20 Taree Camera House voucher awarded to each weekly winner. 

Hash tag #MartinBridge75, on each of your entries uploaded to Instagram in the following categories: 

Category 1. Old Photo of the Bridge

Have a special image of the bridge taken way back? or maybe from an iconic moment like a flood? Snap it with your phone! 

You could also talk to relatives who might have old photos of the bridge stowed away in albums, you can snap a picture of. Include the date of the photo on your entry. 

Category 2. Most Scenic Snap

A snap of the bridge painted in its best light. 

Category 3. Selfie with the Bridge

You can take a selfie with the bridge by yourself, or a group selfie. 

You do not need to submit a photo to enter, you just need to upload the photo to Instagram using the hash tag #MartinBridge75 and keep watch of the Manning River Times Facebook page to see if you have won. 

All entries will be judged by Alan Small of Taree Camera House. Likes do not play a part in the judging.
