Port Macquarie's Phil Trembath will coach the group side for the second successive year. He guided the group to a comfortable win over the northern combination at Wauchope last season and later coached North Coast.
The North Coast side for the Country Championships will be named after the May 2 game.
Group Three under 18s will play trials for selection in the East Coast Dolphins side at Coffs Harbour. East Coast takes in players from Groups Two and Three and the Northern Rivers Rugby League.
WINGHAM coach Stu Baker was blunt when asked what areas his side will have to improve to beat Port City in Saturday's Group Three Rugby League game at the Wingham Sporting Complex.
"Everywhere,'' he responded.
The Tigers disappointed when going down to Wauchope 26-16 in the season's opener at Wauchope.
Baker said his team's handling was particularly slipshod.
"If we don't improve our ball control we're not going to beat anyone,'' Baker added.
However, Baker added he won't be making any changes to the side after one poor performance.
"We'll have pretty much the same side,'' he said.
However, fullback Matt Bridge is under a cloud after injuring his ankle against the Blues. Baker said Bridge'll be given up to Saturday morning to prove his fitness.
"But even if he is out it'll only be for the one week,'' Baker said.
The Breakers were reportedly without some key players, including second rower Daniel Dumas when going down to Port Macquarie 22-14 in the opening round.
Port proved to be a nemisis for the Tigers last season, winning both encounters. This eventually cost Wingham a chance of finishing in the top three.
"They'll have a good side,'' Baker said.
"It'll be a tough game.''
IT'S all ahead full for Forster-Tuncurry as the Hawks steam into the second round of the Group Three Rugby League season against Wauchope at Tuncurry on Sunday.
The Hawks are on a high after disposing of Taree City 40-22 in the opening round at Taree.
Coach Troy Hilder reports that all players made it through the game unscathed and there will be no changes for Sunday's clash. However, Hilder is wary of the Blues.
"They must have played well to beat Wingham last week - Wingham was probably the form team of the pre-season,'' Hilder said.
"I know Wauchope's lost a lot of players, but there's still basically the same 13 that made the last three grand finals.''
While elated with his side's effort against Taree, Hilder is looking for his side to make a more positive start.
He admitted last week the Hawks were lucky to troop off at halftime against the Bulls on level terms. Forster didn't hit the lead in the match for the first time until the second half.
Hilder confirmed that Chris Simon will stay in the centres for another week. Better known as a backrower these day, Simon played soundly in the midfield against Taree.
"I have a centre, Ryan Drew, coming from the Central Coast,'' Hilder said.
"He should be available for the match against Port Breakers. But until he gets here 'Backhoe' will stay in the centres.''
The Hawks had wins in both senior grades last weekend. Hilder said for the first time in many seasons there are now players in reserve grade putting pressure on the first graders for positions.
