Staff are worried that after dark activities in the neighbouring park and beach have permanently driven tourists away from the otherwise idyllic spot.
"It's not good for the business and it's not good for the community," said caretaker of the park, Pat Abdoo.
Pat said his job is no longer eight hours a day, with intruders to the park keeping him "up at all hours".
"We're stopping them from breaking in, but they just get gamer and gamer."
The late night revellers are believed to be responsible for graffiti and debris in the park, which includes smashed bottles just metres away from a children's playground and trashed barbecue facilities.
Illegal camping around the beach area is an issue as well, with a lack of signage and supervision meaning campers often stay in the area.
Manager of Lani's, Fizal Meah described the offending parties as "hoons" with "no respect for the area".
He is certain that the park is suffering from their actions.
"We had people who stayed and said, 'you've got a lovely place until it gets dark'," he said.
"They won't be back."
Staff at the park emphasised that they were not blaming the police or council for the problems afflicting the area.
"We certainly don't want to bad mouth anyone," said Pat.
"We think they need more resources, if anything. They can't police here 24 hours a day."
Park staff asked the wider community to be aware of their plight, particularly during school holidays when unsupervised children and teenagers flock to the park and beach at night.
"This is Taree's beach," said Fizal. "The community has got to be aware of what's going on here."
