BRENDON Clarke from Old Bar was named the Group Three Rugby League reserve grade player of the year.
Three players finished in second place – Todd Davey from Wauchope and the Taree City combination of Nathan Maher and Michael Hardy.
Other finalists were Aiden Avery from Taree City, James Ahoy (Port City), Damian Booby (Port City), Brock Baird (Port City) and Greg Roberts (Forster-Tuncurry).
Avery, with 10 tries and 30 goals for 100 points, was the leading point scorer in reserve grade while Ahoy and Maher were the top try scorers with 11.
Taree City hooker Thomas Paulson was the most improved player in reserve grade. Shannon Love (Forster-Tuncurry), Daniel Thorpe (Old Bar), Ethan James (Port City), Chris Phillipson (Wauchope) and Greg Wilmen (Wingham) were the finalists.
Luke McKinnon from Wauchope was the under 18 player of the year, winning the John Noonan Memorial trophy.
Matt Prior from Wingham was the runner up.
Finalists were Warren Buchanan (Taree City), Codie Parkes (Forster-Tuncurry), Jake Collins (Forster-Tuncurry), Jahbe Latham (Forster-Tuncurry) and Bo Linert (Port City).
Oscar Pannifex was Port City was the most improved. Jahbe Latham (Camden Haven), Jake Collins (Forster-Tuncurry), Nathan Austin (Old Bar), Matt Taupe (Taree City), Jacob Davey (Wauchope) and Dean Germon (Wingham) were the nominations.
Collins, with 13 tries from 13 matches was the leading try scorer while Zac Sheather from Taree City was the top points scorer with 100 from 10 tries and 30 goals.
