The platypus delights all who see it, yet spotting one can be a bit tricky.
MidCoast Water, on behalf of the Manning Great Lakes Platypus Awareness and Conservation Team (PACT) is holding a relaxed workshop on how to spot this elusive creature.
Education and engagement officer Kirsty Hughes will also share information on this unique and iconic animal, so bring your questions.
It will be held at the boat launch at the end of Relfs Road, just out of Gloucester, at sunset. This is to give the best chance of actually seeing a platypus! There are no guarantees, but one was spotted on the last workshop held here for the platypus festival last year.
This workshop is free, and snacks will be provided. It is recommended for anyone who can sit quietly for 20 minutes. Get more information and register by contacting Kirsty Hughes on 6592 4830 or education@midcoastwater.com.au
