That is, no one else would have his name splashed across a design he inspired.
"I've been sponsored by a skateboard company in Sydney called SkaterHQ," said Blake.
"They asked me one day if I would like my own board model with my name on it. I was so shocked and happy for this opportunity.
"All I had to do was come up with a graphic and design."
Blake's good friend and graphic designer, Daniel Heyer listened to Blake's inspirations of using bright happy colours with John Lennon sunglasses.
Blake said, Daniel's design was the perfect fit for what he wanted.
The design without Blake's name is now sold in both SkaterHQ's Sydney shops.
Blake has been sponsored by the company since he was 17.
Now 27, he has been skating since he was 11. He described the skate park across from Taree High School as "his local" when growing up.
"I was there every day before and after school."
Blake's plans for this year is do some small travel skateboarding, mainly visiting friends around Australia.
"Skateboarding is a very social sport," he said.
"So it's great to have friends everywhere you can visit."
When Blake isn't skating he's working on his other long time passion - horticulture, which he started at 15. He plans 2015 to be a year of social skating and growing his horticulture business "Ballard's Backyards".
