Doris Murray hit the milestone on Tuesday, March 24, with a special afternoon tea in her honor at Anglican Care's Storm Village.
Dot, as she is affectionately known, was joined by fellow residents and staff, as well as her sons, Peter and Barry Ryan.
"I think she'll outlive us," Barry laughed, describing how his mother still possessed a cheeky sense of humor.
Her longevity has yielded her two grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
When asked what has been Dot's secret to a long life, Barry said his mother never smoked, but liked a social drink, and loved lamb cutlets. "You can't predict anything," he smiled.
Dot was born in Sawtell and met her first husband Hiliary in Melbourne.
When Hiliary was sadly killed in a work accident in 1950, Dot packed up her two boys and moved to Sydney.
It was during her time in Sydney that she met her second husband Alec.
They were married for only a few short years when Alec passed away after a sudden illness.
For all the sadness, Dot still managed to be active and energetic.
She loved horses and enjoyed going to the races.
Music and dancing were other favourite pastimes and it was through her love of square dancing that she met her beloved Joe.
Dot and Joe moved to Chatham in 1965.
They were a busy and well known couple around the Manning region and had a happy life together until Joe's passing in 2002.
Dot now calls Storm Village home and she is pleased to be living right around the corner from her old address where she spent many happy years.
Whilst she is not quite as spritely as she once was, Dot still has a wicked sense of humour and enjoys spending her days sitting in the sun, eating chocolate, listening to music and singing.
