MAJOR extensions are underway at Cundletown Lower Manning Historical Society, with construction of a shed frame on Friday part of an overhaul of the museum facilities.

The new shed will house a vintage canned milk truck and tractor among other industry items used in the local dairy industry of yesteryear.
President of the society Margaret Love said the extensions would be a "big asset to the community," but expressed that they were "desperate for funds."
As such, the extensions will be built whenever the appropriate amount of funding is received for each stage.
The society is hosting a variety of fundraising events to aid the process.
A high tea and fashion parade at Cundletown School auditorium on March 21 was a success.
On May 9 they have organised a mother's day coach trip to the Hunter Valley, with a day of shopping and dining in the historic boutique town of Morpeth.
The society has three other coach trips planned for the year, with a Christmas in July luncheon, a father's day indulgence and a family Christmas spectacular all aimed at raising funds and attention for the museum.
"It's an ideal location to preserve the history of the dairy industry," said Margaret.
