OLD Bar captain-coach Danny Russell yesterday denied rumours he had signed with the Wingham club for the 2015 Group Three Rugby League season.

"I'm a good mate of Matt Bartlett (Wingham's captain-coach) and I was talking to him about organising a trial, that's about all,'' Russell said.
Russell said he would be playing with the Pirates again this year.
A tough tackling halfback, he guided Old Bar to the final last season in his debut year of coaching at senior level.
A spokesman for Wingham also denied the Tigers were speaking to Russell or any other player from the Old Bar roster.
Old Bar president Kevin Heaslip confirmed that Russell had signed up and would be leading the Pirates again this year.
The Pirates will play Taree City in the opening round of the XX Trophies pre-season competition at Tuncurry on Sunday March 15.
The opening round of the pre-season will be played on Saturday March 14.
