The Central Districts Championship will start Saturday and conclude on Sunday.
Rowing will be from 9am to 4.30 Satirday and 8am to 3.30 on Sunday.
The Central Districts area takes in nine clubs from Gosford to Port Macquarie and out to Armidale. However, rowers from outside this area can compete, with crews expected from Sydney and Coffs Habour. In all around 229 rowers from 12 clubs will be involved during the two days.
Around 35 rowers from the Manning club will be involved.
Bede Clarke and Baxter Pattison will be tough competitors in the men's championship double scull. They will be joined by Tom Steedman and John Corbett in the championship quad scull
Clarke will be looking for another good performance in championship single.
The under 19 single scull will feature Tom Steedman and Zac Calvin in the men while Averil Thornton, Michelle Arnold and Kate Rankin will contest the women's event.
Roy Halliday and Graham Nix will be the benchmark for other crews to chase in the masters.
The women's masters Mandy Cavill, Pauline Arnold, Narelle Drake and Kaye Pullen will take on the championship women four with Michelle Arnold as coxwian
The following weekend (March 14-15) the NSW Combined High Schools championships will be held on the Manning.
It is understood this is the first time this regatta has been held here in more than 20 years.
