The girls team was made up of Claire Van Kampen (swim), Portia Rennie (cycle) and Abby Baker (run).
The girls stepped up into the older intermediate age group, completing the same distances as the seniors which was a 600m swim, 15km cycle and 4km run.
Claire and Abby, both aged 13 and Portia 14 were competing against up to and including 16-year-olds.
They were thrilled to finish sixth place overall from 191 female intermediate teams competing and took the silver Combined High Schools medal for their second place finish.
Portia completed the cycle course as the fastest female cyclist in her division with an average speed of 32.77 kp/h.
The girls are keen to compete again next year as a team, with Claire and Abby now having their first triathlon experience under their belt.
The senior boys team was made up of Brock Van Kampen (swim), Tom Fletcher (cycle) and Miles Thornton (run).
As a 15-year-old Brock also stepped up an age group to compete as a senior and make up the team. Brock was out of the water in sixth place overall producing a sub eight minute swim time and putting the boys in a good position for a medal from the start.
Tom Fletcher rode an average 36.89kph around the course and Miles brought it home at 3:28 pace for a fourth place overall and the first place CHS gold medal .
Brock and Claire are both members of Forster Aquatic Swim Club swimming under the guidance of Pete Sanders.
Portia and Tom are both members of Manning Valley Cycle Club.
