Henry Woods, Ryan Spencer, Trent Watt and Alex Right will take on fighters from PCYCs across the State.

The four boxers have been training under the watchful eye of Peter Lewis for several months and with the exception of Ryan it’ll be the first time the trio have fought.

“They’ve been training for a couple of months now, so there are a few nerves, but I’m sure they’ll be fine on the night,” said Taree PCYC manager Tammy Homewood.

Proceeds from the night will go towards improving the PCYC boxing facilities and repairing the PCYC road. 

The council has declared that the PCYC access road is private rather than public, making it illegible for council funding.

The total cost of repairing the road surface is $60,000. Member for Myall Lakes, Stephen Bromhead recently secured $17,000 from the State Government and the PCYC is hoping to make up some of the difference with the Rumble.

While ticket sales have been solid, Tammy is hoping to sell many more as the night gets closer.

“It’s a good event for the community and we’re hoping to get their support,” she said.

The main event will see North Sydney’s Hayley O’Keefe take on current NSW open female champion, Port Macquarie’s Jessica Messina.

Messina will be looking to gain a place in the Australian team to contest the Oceania Games later this year.
