Greg Doolan, who hails from the Tamworth area, has coached NSW age level teams for the past eight years.
He won Hockey NSW's Coach of the Year in 2014 after helping to guide the NSW under18 girls to a national championship title.
Greg will fulfil several roles in his position of coaching co-ordinator.
He will work with the under nines and under 11s ages groups in recruitment, as well as coaching at local schools and at the Centre of Development for the Manning Valley area, which includes Gloucester hockey.
Greg will also coach the Athlete Acceleration program.
Greg says he will work towards strengthening and maintaining player numbers in the juniors.
"I love working with younger age groups and the excitement they get from playing the sport," he said.
Hockey clubs around the area are in recruitment mode in both the junior and senior sides.
The men's division one has three sides nominated and the juniors division has both a boys and girls side. There will be a junior meeting on Thursday, February 26, at 7pm in the club house.
