“Both of my brothers are incredibly into adventure sports and we were always trying exciting new things when we were growing up,’’ the 21-year-old explained. “Living in a country like this you can’t help but get out there and be active.’’
Caroline hit some of the region’s prime paragliding spots with High Adventure paragliding school during her visit, flying North Brother Mountain, Long Flat and Diamond Head. “You’ll definitely be seeing a lot more of me in the future,’’ she added.
WHILE Miss Australia was in the Manning in 2008, more than 60 ex-servicemen assembled at the Macquarie Barracks in Taree for the Manning National Servicemen’s Memorial Day service.
Mayor Eddie Loftus and member for Lyne Mark Vaile were among those to place wreaths at the barracks’ revamped memorial wall, which formed an impressive centrepiece for the ceremony.
“We’ve had a lot of people compliment us on what we’ve done with the wall,’’ Manning Nashos president Darcy Elbourne said.
